Foreign Graduates

 

NOTICE: ALABAMA LAW MANDATES THAT EACH APPLICANT MUST BE A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OR IF NOT A CITIZEN MUST BE LEGALLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES WITH APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.  CODE OF ALABAMA 1975 34-23-51.  LIST OF ACCEPTABLE DOCUMENTATION IS SET OUT BELOW.

 

Submit FPGEE certification to Alabama Board of Pharmacy

 

If you are licensed as a pharmacist in another state:

 

1.      Go to NABP.NET and apply for preliminary application for licensure transfer.

2.      Submit completed application to NABP.

3.      Wait on OFFICIAL application to be returned to you.

4.      Send completed application to the board, along with required pictures and a fee of $300.00.

5.      Go to NABP.NET and apply to take the MPJE exam.  You will receive an authorization to test form from NABP.

6.      Call and set up appointment with the testing center.

7.      When we receive your score you will be scheduled for an interview.

8.      If you have been licensed as a pharmacist in another state for LESS than one (1) year we will need your intern hours transferred from that state.  We will also need a verification letter from that state.

 

If you are NOT licensed in another state:

 

1.      Go to our website-albop.com-for the Application for Pharmacist Licensure Examination.

2.      Complete and submit with OFFICIAL birth certificate, 2 PASSPORT pictures, copy of your social security card, driver’s license, passport and a fee of $300.00.

3.      Go to NABP.NET to apply for the exams.  You will receive an authorization to test form from NABP.

4.      Call and set up appointment with the testing center.

5.      The applicant must successfully take and pass the NAPLEX and MPJE and be interviewed by the Board before an intern/extern permit can be issued.

6.      The internship application has to be completed in its entirety, including social security number, and returned to the board.  You will then be issued an intern permit.  You have one (1) year to complete internship.

7.      When all hours are received, we will schedule you for another interview with the Board for licensure.

In the case of a nonimmigrant alien authorized to work for a specific employer incident to status, a foreign passport with Form 1-94 or Form 1-94A bearing the same name as the passport and containing an endorsement of the alien’s nonimmigrant status as long as the period of endorsement has not yet expired and the proposed employment is not in conflict with any restrictions or limitations identified on the form.

 

Passport from the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) or the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) with Form 1-94 or Form 1-94A indicating nonimmigrant admission under the Compact of Free Association Between the U. S. and the FSM or RMI.

 

Driver’s license or ID card issued by a State or outlying possession of the US provided it contains a photograph or information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address

 

ID card issued by federal, state or local government agencies or entities, provided it contains a photograph or information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address

 

School ID card with a photograph

 

Voter’s registration card

 

US military card or draft record

Driver’s license issued by a Canadian government authority.
